Residence on Buzzards Bay

A renovation of a classic, historic New England shingle style home on the coast of Massachusetts. Over many years, and many ill-advised interventions, this home had lost its cozy character. Through a full renovation of all spaces, we brought it back to life.

The addition of a grand screened porch with wide views of the water takes advantage of the prevailing cool bay breezes, and lends itself to indoor-outdoor lifestyle. Working with local builders and craftsmen, we recreated many of the original elements lost to passage of time- moldings, fireplaces, cabinetry, and hardware; restoring the charm and easy elegance of this quintessential American summer home.
